This November, Affordable Art Fair Singapore returns to the F1 Pit Building from 13-16 November with its most vibrant edition since 2019 – bringing together 95 galleries, hands-on workshops, live artist takeovers, and immersive installations that invite everyone to see, make and collect art.

Building on the success of last year’s Fair, which welcomed 22,000 visitors and achieved S$5.3 million in art sales, the 2025 edition deepens its focus on Southeast Asia with the Ubah Rumah Art Residency Showcase, while bringing back family-friendly programmes and its partnership with the Caregiving Welfare Association (CWA). The Fair once again invites the public to discover, learn, and experience art up close – and this year, visitors can use their SG Culture Pass credits to purchase tickets to the Fair.

Programme Highlights for 2025: Ubah Rumah Art Residency Showcase

Making its debut at the Fair this year, the Ubah Rumah Art Residency Showcase shines a light on artists from Indonesia, Malaysia, the Philippines and Singapore whose works explore ideas of ecology, care and hospitality. Co-founded by Singaporean artists Alecia Neo and Ernest Goh, the residency draws inspiration from the nomadic traditions of the Orang Laut and the shared maritime histories of the region.

Visitors can also experience the residency through hands-on workshops led by its participating artists, including sessions on creating natural pigments and observing nature through art.

Special Projects

This year’s Special Projects present a diverse range of installations and live art experiences that encourage visitors to see creativity in motion and discover the stories behind the works. From large-scale sculptures to live painting and participatory art, these installations transform the Fair into a space of connection, curiosity and colour:

Artists’ Takeover with Zhang Qiao and Barry Yeow
See creativity unfold over four days as artists Zhang Qiao and Barry Yeow bring two very different practices to life: the precision of sustainable electro-etching and the bold energy of impasto painting.

« Les bois dormants » by Jeff Alarie
A poetic metal installation inspired by the movement and vitality of nature.

An Invitation to Sophie’s Garden by Rong Choy
A tender, site-specific work that transforms one child’s story of living with Netherton Syndrome, into a living portrait of love and resilience.

Here, somewhere, totally else… 2 by Hélène Le Chatelier
An installation exploring intimacy and the body in a digital age, where visitors are invited to contribute close-up instant photographs of their skin that will be added to a collectiveartwork on site.

100 SMILES by TTS (the tiny smile)
A joyful, light-filled homage to happiness, featuring strands of traditional Moon Gates and 100 smiling motifs.

Art Lounge by Yihong Hsu and Jeeum Gallery
A rest-and-view space designed for quiet reflection amid the buzz of the Fair.

SPOTLIGHT Exhibition: Materials & Textures

This year’s #SPOTLIGHT turns its attention to the tactile and the transformative, featuring artists who challenge the boundaries of material and surface. From recycled matter and textiles to wax and layered paint, these works invite visitors to look closer and reconsider what art can be made of, and how it can make us feel.

Showcasing fresh perspectives from artists new to the Fair, the exhibition reflects a growing curiosity about process and materiality in contemporary art today.

The Workshop by NAFA: Talks & Making for All

This year, the Fair partners with Nanyang Academy of Fine Arts (NAFA) to present a refreshed programme that bridges art education and everyday creativity. Designed for all ages, The Workshop offers an inviting mix of hands-on sessions and practical talks led by NAFA lecturers and alumni.Visitors can experiment with craft and collage, learn Chinese ink and silkscreen techniques, or deepen their appreciation of art through colour theory and art care sessions. Whether you’re picking up a brush for the first time or curious about starting your own collection, these workshops provide a relaxed and engaging space to learn from artists and educators alike.

Children’s Art Studio by Art Wonderland and Republic Polytechnic

Nurturing creativity from a young age, this year’s Children’s Art Studio invites the Fair’s youngest visitors to step into the year 2225 with The World We Will Build, a futuristic art studio by Art Wonderland and Republic Polytechnic where children aged 4-12 become Singapore’s architects of tomorrow. Set within a surreal “Wisdom Forest” where nature and technology coexist in harmony, young creators will imagine, design, and build their own visions of the future through hands-on art-making. From adding their dreams to the glowing Tree of Wisdom to crafting puppets of their future selves or constructing imaginative mini dioramas, these activities inspire empathy, creativity, and wonder, reminding us that the world of tomorrow begins with the dreams we nurture today.

Charity Partner: Caregiving Welfare Association (CWA)

Affordable Art Fair Singapore continues its partnership with the Caregiving Welfare Association (CWA), reinforcing its commitment to making art accessible to all. This year, CWA will host on-site activities and workshops at the Fair, with proceeds supporting their ongoing work with caregivers and seniors. The Fair will also extend special access for CWA beneficiaries to experience the event, recognising that caregivers and seniors deserve the same joy, inspiration and connection that art brings.

The Joy and Purpose of Collecting

As the Affordable Art Fair enters its 16th year in Singapore, it continues to champion the idea that art belongs to everyone. The 2025 edition reflects this spirit through its mix of regional showcases, live-making experiences, and family friendly activities that bring people closer to the creative process. Beyond discovering new artists or starting a collection, the Fair celebrates the simple joy of connection – between artist and audience, between creativity and community, and between seeing, loving, making, and owning art.
